This is surely going to cause a stir among all the Indians who think they are living in a developing country that is going to become a superpower in the year 2020.
I recently came across a statistic which shook me from the base up and made me think about it..
An exam is being conducted by Northern Railways to take in Khalasis(read as Cleaners).A vacancy of about 8000 people is currently reported. The exam received an astounding number of 20 lakh application.
An let me tell you these 20 lakh people ARE NOT the people who could not even clear their high school,But graduates and postgraduates and MBAs and MCA's who having spent good years of their life gettin "quality education" and are now ready to wash latrines of RAilway compartment and walk along the tracks checking them with nothing better than a hammer in their hand and a towel on their shoulders.
I bet they all will refuse and then who can through them out coz baaby it is government service....what about the needy ones!!!
Is this the highly subsidised education we are giving to the people of your country who will waste it on nothing but the charm of government service and are willing to lead a dead life throught their "bright career" that the "Shining India" professes.
What is the use of subsidising education so much that people will waste it on such thing?
There are a couple of issues i would like to raise
1.Rather than subsidising higher education let the Government of India subsidise the elementary level education uptil senior Secondary level which should include some vocational traing in anything the child is interested in
2.Let 3 years of cadet traing be made essential to every school pass out, so that he develops a flair for hard work and a sense of belonging to the counrty.
3.Such kind of vacancies should have an upper limit on the qualification
